Movie Marathoners 1 - (James) BONDATHON

How many people can claim to have actually watched an entire film series, non stop, in a row? Doing so, particularly with a crowd, can vastly alter your judgment on the merits of each film.

And that’s where we come in. Athena Stamos and I have made it our quest to watch entire movie series with a slew of our friends, as nonstop as humanly possible, and giving you time-lapse video so we can share it with you. We also gave Olympic-style ranking of each film, 0 to 10, in an attempt to answer the debate of which film is best, and which one is worst.

Our first marathon follows one of the longest running series of all time, the James Bond, 007 franchise. All told there are 22 official Bond films (soon to be 23 with next year’s release of Skyfall), spanning over 50 years. We screened the three “non-official” Bond movies as well, which include the 1954 made-for-TV adaptation of Casino Royale, the 1967 spoof version of Casino Royale, and the 1983 return of Sean Connery in Never Say Never Again.

We scheduled the event over three days, with two (very short) sleeping breaks to make sure we could stay alert. Take a look at the Ultimate Bondathon video below to see how each film stacked up.
