BAFTAs 2013: The Winners and Losers

Argo takes home the big prize while Skyfall makes history.

Last night, on a very, very damp London evening, famous faces made their way into the Royal Opera House for the 66th British Academy Film Awards (we're not entirely sure what the 'T' stands for, either).

While the BAFTAs aren't held in the same regard as their American equivalents, they still offer the chance for British films (Skyfall) to be recognised and, if nothing else, put Paloma Faith and George Clooney in the same room.

Last night's (February 10th) BAFTAs were no exception. Paloma Faith did indeed spend her evening in the same room as Clooney, while Skyfall was given the award for Outstanding British Film, the first BAFTA awarded to the James Bond series in 50 years.

Elsewhere, Argo picked up the prize for Best Film while Ben Affleck was awarded Best Director, a category from which he has been snubbed in the upcoming Oscars.
