In some interviews, you have to worry about spoilers because I’ve seen the movie before you have. With Jackass 3D, I think it’s okay. I can tell you Johnny Knoxville recreates The Blind Side, plays with a jet engine and gets rammed by a buffalo and that won’t ruin it. You’ve still got to see it. So Knoxville talked about his latest crazy stunts with a roundtable of serious reporters. *Spoiler alert*.

CraveOnline: Do you think it’s become more of an artistic endeavor than just pee and poo?

Johnny Knoxville: We don’t intellectualize it that way. We just think of ideas and make ourselves laugh.

CraveOnline: Are you disappointed when stunts work as planned?

Johnny Knoxville: Well, then you just do them again. If you do it right, then you’re doing it again.

CraveOnline: The jet sequence is one of the best bits, and it seemed like everyone got something in that. Did you try anything with the jet that didn’t work and didn’t make it?

Johnny Knoxville: Yeah, there was a lot of things. [Steve-O] rode past the bike, naked. We shot a ton of stuff behind the jet, and you know, you got so much time, you do all these things, like oh, I wanna do this, this, and this, and then Bam just runs out there, just simply pees into the wind, which was the funniest thing in my eyes. I saw it, and I’m like, that’s the closer to this bit.

CraveOnline: Was “Dildo Archery” something that would only work in 3D?

Johnny Knoxville: No, it’s funny in 2D as well.

CraveOnline: Last year around this time, The Blind Side was the real phenomenon of last year’s movie season. Did you get the real inspiration from The Blind Side?

Johnny Knoxville: No, we had Jared Allen, and I wanted to get hit going over the middle, and we were doing that, then Jared Allen like, “Well, you know I’m a defensive end, my best thing is the blind side.” I’m like, okay. That’s what kind of just happened on the day. He gets really hard. He was great, he had such a fun spirit about it. But we were walking to the set, and he’s like, “Man, I got second thoughts about it. I think I was raised better than this.” But then, of course, when we were shooting, he was just having a ball of murdering my face.

CraveOnline: You’ve done old man stuff a lot…

Johnny Knoxville: I had so many old man ideas I didn’t even get to just because we ran out of time. The old man’s still got a lot of badness left in him. He’s a dirty old man, but he keeps getting dirtier and dirtier.
