New stills from the upcoming film about the making of Psycho, starring Sir Anthony Hopkins as the master filmmaker.

Psycho may be the most famous horror movie ever made, and is considered by many to be at least one of the best Alfred Hitchcock movies ever made… making it, by default, one of the best movies ever made. But how did the revolutionary motion picture – which brought graphic violence, sex, flushing toilets and a stigma coming into a movie late into the mainstream – come to be?

That's the question director Sacha Gervasi (Anvil: The Story of Anvil) is answering with Hitchcock, which stars Sir Anthony Hopkins as the master filmmaker, Dame Helen Mirren as Hitchcock's wife Alma Reville, Scarlett Johansson as Psycho star Janet Leigh, Jessica Biel as her co-star Vera Miles, James D'Arcy as Anthony Perkins and Michael Stuhlbarg as studio executive Lew Wasserman.

Hitchcock opens in theaters on November 23, 2012, and you can see a new series of stills (click through for larger versions) below.
