"Human bodies take a lot of getting used to."
Get More: Jake Abel, Saoirse Ronan, William Hurt, Diane Kruger, Movie Trailers, Movies Blog
The last installment of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Saga (at least until they remake it in two or three years) hits theaters this Friday, and if that makes you despondent, this may be the news story for you. The adaptation of Meyer's other novel, The Host, is all set to be released on March 29, 2013 and the new trailer has just arrived courtesy of MTV.com. It doesn't look half bad, really. Sort of a sequel to Philip Kaufman's 1978 version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. We expect writer/director Andrew Niccol (The Truman Show) has a lot to do with that. The Host stars Saoirse Ronan (Atonement) as one of the last human beings on Earth after aliens invade the planet and took over our bodies. But when she herself is infected, will she be able to fight back?
The Host co-stars Diane Kruger (Inglorious Basterds), Jake Abel (The Lovely Bones), Max Irons (Red Riding Hood), Frances Fisher (Titanic) and William Hurt (A History of Violence). The new poster is below. Click through for a high-definition version.
