CraveOnline: How does this compare to catering on the set?

Kevin Dillon: We have really good caterers. This is a bit better though.

CraveOnline: How do you feel about this season, Drama moving out on his own, etc?

Kevin Dillon: I feel pretty good because I’m still with the guys. I was a little concerned that Drama on his own would mean being with the guys less. I still want to be with the guys as part of the Entourage. One guy cannot leave the Entourage. It won’t be an entourage anymore if any of the four guys left.

CraveOnline: We’re pulling for Drama. Can we expect more success or is he doomed for disappointment?

Kevin Dillon: I really couldn’t tell you that. That’s something that the writers are kind of thinking it through. I don’t even know if they know what they’re going to do with it now. It’s kind of fun having the success that Drama’s had. But it was a lot of fun watching him struggle as well. I don't know, I’m curious to see what they’re going to do with that.

CraveOnline: Is there any cliffhanger pertaining to Five Towns on the season finale?

Kevin Dillon: Not at the end of season four. Things are solid, the show is still a hit. They go to Cannes towards the end and that’s a big deal because Drama’s huge in Cannes. Viking Quest was huge over there supposedly.

CraveOnline: You really went there?

Kevin Dillon: Yeah, we went, we shot there it was pretty cool.

CraveOnline: What was their real reception to the Entourage gang?

Kevin Dillon: It was kind of minimal there because the show, they don’t air it in France. But there was a lot of people from the UK and Australia, other countries that love the show where it does really well. I guess in France you can see it but you have to get a special cable channel or something.

CraveOnline: So like at Comic Con, in Cannes, Drama’s the big star?

Kevin Dillon: Basically, yeah. Not that Vince isn’t there but Drama’s show has got like a cult status, Viking Quest was big there and still is watched a lot there.

CraveOnline: How do the French women like Drama?

Kevin Dillon: On the show, they love him.

CraveOnline: Does that mean in real life it was different?

Kevin Dillon: Well, I’m a married man, so. Seems like I didn’t see many French people when we were there. I saw everyone from LA. It’s so weird, the festival and all that there.

CraveOnline: The show is a male fantasy. In your experiences at any point, is there any reality to the way women throw themselves at stars?

Kevin Dillon: Yeah. That certainly happens. They do. It’s definitely easier for our single cast members nowadays and the party lifestyle, yeah. It’s funny, as we do the show and it becomes a success, we’re all kind of living what’s going on in the show with the private jets flying over here and stuff that I’ve never done before the show. I was never on a private jet before this show so it’s kind of cool.

CraveOnline: Really? All three of the other guys said it’s not really like that with women.

Kevin Dillon: Yeah, well, I’m married and the other guys are not but I know that it’s certainly easier for those of them who are single.

CraveOnline: Are there any places you like to hang out in LA?

Kevin Dillon: Malibu. I just moved to Malibu and I kind of like it there so I don’t’ really go into LA anymore. And I don’t really hang out that much. I’m kind of a homebody. I’ve got my little girl at home and she’s one. I like getting up early now and I just don’t go out as often. Once in a while I still will.

CraveOnline: Do you have an entourage?

Kevin Dillon: No. Not unless wife and kids count. Then that’s my entourage.

CraveOnline: But the four of you from the show hang out?

Kevin Dillon: We do. It’s pretty funny. We all have a really great relationship and you could really tape the dialogue between us. It’s funny, we’re not really our characters but everyone’s funny in their own kind of way. On the show, E’s kind of very serious and very- - in real life, Kevin Connolly’s hilarious. He’s a very funny guy. It’s just the characters are different than our characters on TV but the banter is still classic like New York humor and it’s just really funny. If you could tape our conversations, I bet you’d get a kick out of them.

CraveOnline: Are you ever still shocked by the outrageous stuff in the scripts?

Kevin Dillon: I get shocked by the scripts. Sometimes I call Doug Ellin in a panic. I was worried at a couple that have aired this season actually. I was concerned about the party one where I’m freaking out, taking down the lamp shades, yelling at everybody. I don’t want Drama to come off as a dislikeable guy. He very easily can come off that way, especially just reading the script, “All right, now get the hell out.” He kicks everyone out of his house. I was really afraid of that one. I was afraid of him so badly wanting his zip code to be in Beverly Hills. I guess that’s Drama. I don’t really have a say in the matter on that and the episodes came out pretty good so hopefully people don’t hate him too much. It’s funny. At the same time, it is funny.

CraveOnline: I don’t think so. Do you get that people hate him?

Kevin Dillon: I don’t think they do either but I always worry. I try not to protect the character too much because I like his faults. I like that he obsesses over all these little things and I like that he’s a bit of a headcase and all that. I like that but I also want him to be likeable and be kind of still nice to the people around him. Those are things that I worry about.

CraveOnline: Do you think Vince is really good or just popular?

Kevin Dillon: My take is always that he was good. He was one of these guys that’s like a natural. Of course, that was always my take on it throughout the whole thing. He’s got a little something that he doesn’t have to try to hard. He’s just a natural actor.

CraveOnline: Does Drama have it?

Kevin Dillon: I think Drama is a good actor as well. I play him as such. A little big maybe at times. Maybe Drama can be a little over the top, but he’s good enough to work for all those years and he’s got a pretty extensive resume. He’s on a hit show right now so he’s got to be pretty decent. You don’t last that long being a bad actor.

CraveOnline: They’re making a real trailer for Medellin. Could we see Medellin in movie theaters?

Kevin Dillon: That would be highly unlikely. I think it would be a smart idea. It could be a lot of fun. Bill everyone as their character names. Even Johnny Chase would get a credit in that. He runs in and says a couple Spanish lines. That is cool. That would be fun. I was hoping that Brett Ratner, he said he was going to put me in Rush Hour 3. I guess he got so overwhelmed that every time someone said, “Hey, what’s up with that?” He goes, “I can’t deal with that right now.” It was something that would have had to be written in and bill me as Johnny Chase. I thought that would have been really cool. It would really bring the reality of the show, like what is real and what isn’t.

CraveOnline: Where did you get Johnny’s distinct mannerisms?

Kevin Dillon: I have like four people that I kind of use. One of them is actually my brother Paul. I use some of his characteristics. A couple others are friends. Some of it just comes out of the writing. At this stage, I don’t have to think about these other people because I know what Drama would do in pretty much any given situation now. So it’s a lot easier to kind of study and not have to think about what you would do. Yeah, it’s kind of a compilation of a couple friends. My brother Paul’s really kind of obsessive and he obsesses over things. Like the calves. Not that my brother Paul had a problem with his calves, but he’ll get into something and get so into it, that’s kind of how Drama is. He gets wrapped up, like I need my zip code, it’s gotta be Beverly Hills. I’m only 50 feet away, and he’ll stop at nothing to get that. That’s his obsessive personality and I like that about him.

CraveOnline: How do you manage to steal all your scenes?

Kevin Dillon: I did not steal scenes. I would call it just playing Drama. I don't know, scene stealing is something I see as, people look at it, it could be a positive thing but I really like to think of myself as a team player. It’s kind of like one player can make the other teammates better, kind of like Larry Byrd dishing off. And it’s like that as well with acting so these guys make me better, I make them better. Sometimes I can feed them what they need for the joke or they can do the same for me and that’s what’s great about these guys. We all kind of talk through it and we come up with good ideas.
