Super Street Fighter IV revives classic mini-game
by Erik Norris
Nov 04, 2009

Remember those awesome bonus stages in the Street Fighter games of yore? The ones that really proved who was the world's best fighter. Where you beat the holy hell out of some random person's car with your fists, and kicked and punched barrels dropping out the sky. Yea, they were awesome. And they're returning in Super Street Fighter IV. Revealed in the latest issue of Famitsu.

Also being added to Super SFIV is a beefier online component, including a new Team Battle Mode for up to 4 on 4 action. As well as an Endless Battle Mode for eight players, and a Replay Channel to save and rewatch your favorite battles.

Capcom is also already planning downloadable content for SSFIV, including a Tournament Mode.

That means we're getting a bunch of new characters (including the awesome T. Hawk), a better online interface with new modes, and a reduced price of $40. While I try real hard to not be a consumer whore at all times, it might be time to trade in that old, out of date, copy of normal Street Fighter IV. This new version is sounding super duper.
