Jack White of the White Stripes might hate Rock Band/ Guitar Hero, but even he can't resist the sound of money hitting his bank account. Next week Rock Band players will be treated to a three song track pack by White's chief band, The White Stripes, marking the second time one of Jack White's bands makes the transition from real instruments to those of plastic. The first time being with his side project The Raconteurs. The songs included in the White Stripes Track Pack 01 are "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground" off 2001's White Blood Cells, "Girl, You Have No Faith in Medicine" off 2003's Elephant, and "Icky Thump" of 2007's album of the same name. This is kind of amusing to me considering his disdain for what these games are doing to the music industry.
Also being released this coming week are singles from The Damned and Kasabian. For the official release of tracks for the Xbox 360 and PS3, as well as the PSP's Rock Band Unplugged, check below.
