Crave Online's weekly gaming news returns in glorious high-definition! The goal of this feature is to update gamers on a weekly basis with the news that's important, none of the fluff. Every week there is a multitude of gaming news that hits the net. Most of it sucks ass. Who really reads gaming news to find out when the new Barbie game is getting downloadable content? I sure as hell don't, and I'm guessing you don't either. Therefore it's the job of this column to round up the best, most awesome news in the gaming industry, the stuff that makes us excited to be gamers, and condense it into one eatable, bite-size tablet of awesome. So open wide, this pill gets inserted straight up the back-end..

Take a ride with Tony Hawk

Here is the debut trailer of the new Tony Hawk game, entitled Tony Hawk: Ride, courtesy of GameTrailers. Most of the footage shown is actual skateboarding clips but if you stick with the video till the very end you'll see what separates Ride from the competition. Looks like the game will be including a skateboard control reminiscent of the Wii Fit balance board. How this thing exactly works, no one knows. But if you visit thride.com, you'll see a disclaimer saying "be the first--6.2.2009" which falls squarely during the opening days of E3. It's a pretty safe bet to guess the first people to try Tony Hawk Ride with the new skating controller will be those attending the E3 conference in early June.

Splinter Cell Conviction Teaser

Now we here at Crave love our teaser trailers. They get the blood pumping, and the hype train moving, but when you give us nothing besides the fact that the game could partially take place on an island, that just isn't exciting enough, sorry. The voice over also doesn't help because it simply recounts plot points from previous games. There are teaser trailers done right, then there's this:
