THQ Delivers 'Drawn to Life'
THQ Delivers
Nintendo and THQ combine for a gaming first.

THQ announced to day that the first video game that lets gamers literally draw their own character is shipping to stores today. Set for the Nintendo DS Drawn to Life (great title by the way) will allow players to create their own unique characters via the stylus pad. The game will come with several features made to make the interface very user friendly (like templates, and familiar 'draw' program color palettes). Details are few, but we do know that players will have to rely on their drawing skills during game play as well as the initial game set up. Also, players will be able to trade and share character creations via Nintendo's DS multicard local wireless function.

Just one example of the kinds of characters players can create.

All this, plus a great price at just $29.99 this is not a bad way for THQ to get things started with the DS. Drawn to Life is the first original property created specifically for the DS, which is a bit surprising considering that THQ has had a great relationship with Nintendo for years according to Bob Aniello, the senior vice president for worldwide marketing. "As the leading third-party publisher for Nintendo systems for the fifth year in a row, THQ is thrilled to now bring the highly-anticipated Drawn to Life to the hands of gamers." Aniello concluded with, "Drawn to Life takes full advantage of the Nintendo DS features in a completely new way and we anticipate this unique style of gameplay will be well-received by DS fans." This game seems like a great idea for handheld fans.
