5. Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness

While it could fairly be argued that every single Tomb Raider entry is an undesired one, Angel of Darkness is the one that finally convinced Eidos to take the games away from Core Design, following the miserable letdown that this game was. AoD attempted to "reinvigorate" Lara by gothing her up a bit, but Core allowed the bugs that had plagued the Tomb Raider games since their inception to continue, only aggravating the problem that lead to lack of desire for another sequel in the first place. You'd think that with three years between games, Core Design might have been able to address and fix some of the issues that were well known about the series. Instead, they slapped on next gen graphics and got themselves replaced by Crystal Dynamics for the next (equally undesired) installment.
