Licensed games are so bad, we couldn't even get a top 10

In celebration of the Ghostbusters game being released this week, CraveOnline decided to take a look back at the Top 9 Licensed Games of all time. Top 9, you ask? Yes, only 9. We struggled long and hard to compile a list of genuinely good licensed video games, but fell short. Sure, we could have just threw in some other, non-deserving game, but then we would be liars. Instead, we opted to cut the list down, and accept the fact that despite all of the hooplah made around the release of these games based on previously existing franchise, most of the games still suck.

9. Disney's Aladdin (Genesis, SNES)

In a rare move even for cross-platform games back in the day, Disney's Aladdin developed as a different game for the original platforms that it appeared on, and each iteration was fun. Both the Genesis and SNES versions were platformers at heart--each relatively following the movie's storyline and locations--but the Genesis version had some very basic swordplay involved while the SNES version was more of a traditional "bop 'em on the head" type of game. However, either version you played resulted in the same thing: a massive amount of addicting fun that included all of your favorite art design from the film, as well as a memorable musical score and awesome character animations. I still play Aladdin to this day. The password system is still annoying, but outrunning the guards of Agrabah while platforming to a MIDI version of "One Jump Ahead".
