Captain America: Super Soldier Announced by Sega

With the Captain America: The First Avenger movie quickly rocketing towards the present, it was blatantly obvious that a starring-role video game would be imminently announced. Well, today is that day, Captain America: Super Soldier has been revealed by Sega, and is headed to the Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, Nintendo Wii and DS in 2011.

The game will be set during World War II, much like the Captain America: The First Avenger film, and will feature both "fluid" third-person combat and platforming set in a massive castle turned military installation.

The game’s plot is being written by comic scribe Christos Gage (Avengers: The Initiative, Siege: Captain America, Iron Man, X-Men), and will see Captain America battling the Red Skull, Hydra, Iron Cross, and the evil scientist Arnim Zola with his trusty Adamantium, star-spangled shield.
