We figure we would say it right up front; this is not an official confirmation. However, with that said, according to a posting on a Batman: Arkham City fansite, arkhamcity.co.uk, the popular UK magazine PSM3 confirms multiplayer in the Batman sequel in their upcoming issue by saying, "Multiplayer is a certainty, but no details on this yet. "
What many are speculating, including us, is that this "multiplayer" won't be a VS. mode, or something lame like that, dredging up nightmares of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Instead, it will be a co-op mode. Which, according to our Arkham City Wishlist, is something we would like very much.
We do know Arkham City has a heavy story focus on Catwoman, so chances of her being one of the playable co-op charaters is likely. However, can we just reiterate that we would kill to be able to play as Nightwing or Robin. Kill.
Here's an image from arkhamcity.co.uk showing off the Arkham City feature in PSM3. You can't read any of it, the text is way to small, but just image that quote from above in this sea of words. Now start speculating.
