Don’t let the name mislead you, video games are not always "fun and games." Sometimes video games are a freakin’ nightmare that send players into blind rages. If you’re of the old-school variety, you know this all too well. But even games released over the past few years fall into the trap of making players want to fling their controller at the television. So here’s to those moments, past and present; celebrating the times in gaming we love to hate.
5. God of War - Defeat Yourself

The end of God of War is no joke. Taking a page from old school gaming, players must defeat three bosses in a row without a single save point in between. It’s a gauntlet that will test your skill, composure and button-mashing stamina. Probably the hardest portion of this brutal endurance test is section two where Kratos is manifested into his own nightmare and must defend his family from clones of himself. Wave after wave Kratos clones emerge from the ground as the player frantically races to keep his family alive. This whole section is as hard as a pedaphile watching a little league game. And when it finally does end, when you finally best yourself and your finger tips are sore with surfacing blisters, you’re thrown right back into another boss fight. Yeesh.
