The next Guitar Hero game has been announced. Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock will be another offshoot game of the main Guitar Hero franchise and will prominently feature music optimized for guitar shredding, i.e. metal.
The game, taking heavy influence from 80’s metal album covers, will feature a new “Quest Mode” narrated by Gene Simmons of KISS where players embark on a quest to help the Demi-God take down “The Beast” to save rock & roll. I’m not making this up. Come to think of it, a similar game was released last year, was it not?
But this is Guitar Hero, not some fancy-pants action-RPG hybrid. Therefore, you’re going to be thrashing away at your plastic instruments, not cruising around on your epic battle cat. The music is what’s most important. While the entire track listing for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock has yet to be revealed, the presser released announcing the title does give us a good indication as to what to expect, tracklisting wise.
