Are you as jazzed as we are for Alan Wake? Well if you answered that with a resounding "yes!," then this is exciting news. If you said, "meh, not really," then f*ck off, this PSA obviously isn't aimed towards you. Starting next week on Xbox Live you'll be able to watch the first (of six) Alan Wake live-action shorts. This six part story acts as a prequel to the game and is shot on location in Oregon--yes, it's a real place, not a myth--in a little town called Bright Falls. A place where even the deer look suspicious.

Microsoft is promising these shorts will have the same eerie feeling as Twin Peaks did--a show that coincidentally premiered twenty years ago this month. Spooky.
The first two episodes of this Alan Wake live-action prequel will be available to Xbox Live Gold members on April 25, while everyone else on Live will have access to them on April 26. Also, you can catch the episodes on brightfalls.com, starting April 27. The entire series will wrap up with a two-part finale on May 17, one day before Alan Wake--the game--hits shelves.
And finally, this six-part series will be available in the Alan Wake collector's edition. Stay tuned to CraveOnline for our review of Alan Wake closer to release time.
*UPDATE* - Shortly after publishing this news post we were sent the teaser trailer for "Bright Falls," the name of the Alan Wake prequel. Check it out below.
