Megadeth and The Who are next week's offerings

This coming week there is a wrench thrown into the normal schedule. Instead of just getting a Rock Band store update next Tuesday, we're also getting a special track on Sunday after the Super Bowl is over. That's right, Rock Band players wil be able to download a special version of The Who's half-time performance, entitled the "The Who Super Bowl S-mashup," which was re-recorded specifically for Rock Band. So after you tune into the Super Bowl and see the Who try to top Prince as the best half-time show ever, you can then log into Rock Band and snag the same performance for jammin' in your living room. However, the tracks that make up this performance have yet to be revealed, obviously being kept a secret until the big performance at half-time. So tune in to the game, stick around for half-time, don't change the channel, and see if the track offering is worth picking up later on in Rock Band.

“The Who Super Bowl S-mashup”
Price: $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360)

Then, next Tuesday we get a full album release of Megadeth for the Rock Band Store. Rust in Peace, the band's fourth album that won the group a Grammy, will be offered in its entirety. Rust in Peace will also be the second Megadeth album to hit the Rock Band store, the first being 1986's Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?.
