To celebrate their tenth season of simulating America's favorite pastime, 2K Sports is upping their game and challenging you to up yours, as well. Beginning on launch day, the first player to pitch a perfect game in either the Xbox 360 or PS3 version of MLB 2K10, while also being logged into the MLB Today mode (so the stats instantly hit the 'net), will be a million dollars richer. Said player will also be able to put their name alongside such greats as Cy Young, Randy Johnson, Sandy Koufax, and the most recent perfect game pitcher, Mark Buehrle. Cause, you know, pitching a perfect game in a virtual space is basically the same thing as pitching one in real space.
The contest will run two months time, from March 2, 2010 at 12:01am PST to May 2, 2010 at 11:59pm PDT, and as previously mentioned, it's required that you log the game into MLB 2K10's MLB Today mode against the CPU, insuring everyone is on a level playing field with default game settings. So no cheating by scaling the difficulty down to retard level.
And lastly, the game has to be recorded and slapped onto a DVD as proof of existence. 2K Sports has hit up Twin Galaxies for help with verifying the legitimacy of these 'perfect' games, so no funny business. If you're caught trying to pull a fast one you'll be hunted down and murdered cause 2K Sports' bounty hunter, Christof. Ok, you got us, Christof isn't a bounty hunter, and no, he won't be tracking you down and killing you. Truth is, he's 2K Sports' janitor, so what he can track down really well are some dingle-berries, and children that fall in the toilet. But back on track, if you cheat you'll definitely be walking away from this contest sans $1 Million.
