With the announcement of a new Mega Man title comes flashbacks. Flashbacks of war. Of all the times I've died in these damn games. And that number is very, very high. But it's about to become even higher. Mega Man 10 is coming, and no, this isn't to be confused with Mega Man X. This is a whole new beast.
The upcoming issue of Nintendo Power will be the deliverer of the news. But since the internet is quick these days, we get to report first on another publication's scoop. Yahtzee!
Mega Man 10 will once again be a throwback to the original Mega Man titles, much like Mega Man 9 was when it released in late 2008. So expect more pixelated blaster bullets, more catchy MIDI music, and all new bosses unleashed because of that psycho, Dr. Willy. Bosses like "Sheep Man." Ok, so they've run a little dry on original ideas in the robot boss department. But if the inclusion of "Sheep Man" means I get to wear a sheep fleece as specialized armor, I'm game.
Want a release date and knowledge of what systems this game is coming to? Well too bad, most of the details are still under lock and key. Since Mega Man 10's reveal is being published in Nintendo Power, it's a good guess the game will be a WiiWare title. But how about a release on the Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network? Time will tell, I guess. Also, no release date as of right now, so hold tight. More concrete details will crop up soon, as they always do.
