As you can see from the title of this post, Harmonix has passed along info for the next Rock Band update a bit earlier than normal. So instead of getting the good news on friday, we got it a whole 2 days earlier. Lucky days! Coming December 1, after everyone has stuffed their faces with turkey, cranberry sauce, and potatoes, is more Nirvana bliss. We get two live tracks, "Lithium" from Live at Reading and "Come As You Are" from the MTV Unplugged show, as well as the studio recording of "Smells Like Teen Spirit." While I could have done without "Smells Like Teen Spirit," as there are far better Nirvana tracks out there, the two living recordings are welcome additions to the Nirvana portfolio already taking up a fair bit of room on my hard-dirve.
Also coming to the Rock Band store is the debut of a band called Night Ranger. Which, judging from their name, makes them seem cool enough. The band gets a three song track pack, conveniently labeled "Night Ranger Pack 01."
