Friday Rocks! Rock Band Update 11.17.09 [UPDATED]

AFI and Beatles overload and Them Crooked Vultures Debut

This coming Tuesday sees not only a five pack of tracks from punk band AFI for Rock Band but also the second full album release for The Beatles: Rock Band, Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Most of the tracks coming in the "AFI Pack 01" are from the band's eighth studio album, Crash Love, including "Beautiful Thieves," "End Transmission," and "Medicate." But also included will be "Love Like Winter" from Decemberunderground, and "The Leaving Song, Pt II" from Sing the Sorrow.

Now as for The Beatles: Rock Band release, Sgt. Peppers, to many, represents the pinnacle in creativity for the band. So it's going to be a blast play these songs, especially with all the trippy "Dreamscape" environments Harmonix will have concocted for each.

And last, but not least, is a single track from The Bangles, "Walk Like An Egyptian" entering the Rock Band store.

For the full tracklisting of songs hitting both Rock Band and The Beatles: Rock Band next year, check below.

*UPDATE* - Seems we struck too soon with our weekly Rock Band update article. Right after we received press releases for all the AFI, Beatles, and Bangles goodness one more dropped in our mailbox, this one announcing one more track that would be hitting the Rock Band store next week; the debut single from Them Crooked Vultures, "New Fang."

For anyone not in the know, Them Crooked Vultures are a super group powerhouse. Dave Grohl of Nirvana and Foo Fighters fame on drums, John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin on bass, and Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age on lead guitar and vocals. The grouping is simply orgasmic (Read Crave's review of Them Crooked Vultures' debut album here). And now you'll be able to jam to one of the songs off their upcoming album, also releasing Tuesday of next week (unless you're a PS3 owner, they aren't getting it till December 3).
