If you've been feverishly anticipating Diablo III, hoping you would have the chance to play it next year, think again. It looks like you're going to have to wait a bit longer. A good bit. During a presentation in New York today, Thomas Tippl, Activision Blizzard chief financial offer, whose pockets overflowith with money due to Modern Warfare 2's release records, discussed the success of Blizzard games and their upcoming slate of games. Displaying the below slide snagged by Kotaku.
As you can see, Diablo III is clearly in the section labeled "Next Few Years." Therefore, 2011 is being generous. Though it looks like StarCraft II and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm are firmly set in 2010. So there's that. Sorry dungeon crawler, it's going to be a while longer before you get to kick ass as that cool Monk class.
