October has finally wrapped up. We hope all your Halloween festivities were as enjoyable as ours (I have discovered a new appreciation for girls having to wear bra at all times, it's damn painful...and don't worry how I figured that out). Looking back, there has been a metric shit ton of good games that have released over the last 31 days. But it's now time to pick one game that would be worth selling your grandma on ebay for. With a minimum bid, of course. We aren't monsters.
The Competition:
Brutal Legend

"This project was massive, and looking at all of the components makes the lives of the developers in the Double Fine office seem miserable. Your families miss you guys, I hope you know that. Everyone there deserves a massive amount of respect for producing a game with so many different gameplay elements that are each done so very well. This open-world experience is incredibly cohesive, and the variety within makes it something special. Sprinkle in some Jack Black, fantastic art design, Tim Schafer charm and the opportunity for a leggy multiplayer and you've got a winner." - Joey Davidson
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

"I really can't stress enough just how awesome Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is. The gunplay gets the adrenaline pumping, the platforming remains just as satisfying as ever, and while debatable, the game is definitely in the running for the best looking piece of interactive software to date....Speaking as a video game fanatic, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves easily ranks as one of my all-time favorite gaming experiences. Obviously making it a must-buy for all Playstation 3 owners, but I don't think anyone was ever really going to be debating that." - Erik Norris
Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time

"If you love the series, then A Crack in Time is for you. If you're new to the PS3 scene then I suggest you drop the coin and pick up the whole Future trilogy....It's a great ending to the Future arc, but I don't think the series is done... there, I said it." - Joey Davidson
DJ Hero
(1).jpg)
"Any and all complaints aside, I find it difficult not to recommend DJ Hero to any gamer that hasn’t already picked it up. Even if you aren’t the biggest fan of hip-hop and electronic music, you probably will be by the end of the game. (I actually despise house music and rave culture, but I still loved the game.) The peripheral works great and takes up a hell of a lot less space than your various guitars and drums and other crap. And it’s more girl friendly; my wifey knows ten times as many of these songs as she does on Guitar Hero, so we’re not stuck doing Blondie and Paramore over and over again, ad nauseum. So unless you’re a serial sausage partier, DJ Hero is probably going to be your go-to drinking game from now on." - Jeremy Azevedo
Forza Motorsport 3
.jpg)
"Turn 10's latest Forza offering is not only the best in the series, but the new pinnacle in racing simulators. Sorry Gran Turismo, it's now time to play catch up, and Forza 3 is like a lap ahead...Forza Motorsport 3 remains a true masterpiece in the racing simulation genre. What's going to be interesting to see is how Gran Turismo, who has always been the bread winner in this specific genre, handles playing catch-up when it releases GT5 more than a half a year after Forza 3. All I know is; GT better have some amazingly unique features or it going to look like a lame copycat in comparison, a bizarre notion considering Gran Turismo has owned this genre for well over a decade. Point is: get out and Buy Forza Motorsport 3 if you consider yourself any sort of racing game fan." - Erik Norris
and the winner is....
