Film set billboard spills the beans

This shouldn't come as much of a surprise considering Resistance 2 was both a critical and financial success for Insomniac Games. However, it's unfortunate they won't get to do a proper unveiling for the next game in the series due to the wonders of advertising. We see this kind of thing all the time, especially in the comic industry where the solicitations for toys based around a specific story get revealed months prior to the first issue's release and spoil large plot points (*cough* Blackest Night *cough*). But in this case, it seems Insomniac and Sony wanted to have some Resistance 3 ad placement in an upcoming movie, thus meaning they had to develop the billboard to be put on the movie set prior to announcing the project and unfortunately someone on the film set snagged a shot of it, loading onto the interwebz for millions to see.

This shot, supplied by NeoGaf, was taken from the set of a film called "Battle: Lost Angeles," which is shooting in Shreveport, Louisiana, and whose plot is also about an alien invasion, much like Resistance. And since there has been no official announcement, this Resistance 3 billboard is all we have to go on for any information on the title, at this moment. But it does seem to hint we will be fighting in the streets of New York City considering the image of the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building in the game's logo.

So it appears that once Insomniac pushes out Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time from the womb later this month, it will be back to gunning down Chimera.
