I see what you did there EA, you publish Rock Band, you publish Brutal Legend, why not combine them? Smart cross-promoting guys!
This week Rock Band gets brutal with a triple track pack of metal goodness in the form of Motorhead's "(We Are) The Road Crew ‘08," "The Metal" by Tenacious D and "More Than Meets the Eye" by Testament, labeled as the Brutal Legend Pack. And if you planned to pick up Brutal Legend this coming Tuesday at Best Buy, know that you'll receive a special coupon with the your purchase that will let you download the track pack for the price of nothing. Pretty sweet deal.
Tim Schafer comments on the fusion of rock by stating, "These are three great songs that totally capture the feeling of Brutal Legend. I can't wait to play them in Rock Band. I've air-drummed to all of them so many times, I'm sure I'll be able to beat them on hard mode, no problem. Or at least on medium. Like medium plus. That's a setting, right?"
Yup.
Also included in next week's Rock Band store update are two Kansas songs, "Icarus" and "Point of Know Return," both live versions off their upcoming album Two for the Show, Blink-182's "Why My Age Again," Black Tide's "Show Me the Way," and L7's "Andres." Finally, two instrumental tracks from Joe Satriani, "Surfing with the Alien," and "Satch Boogie," will be included in the update.
