Dungeon Fighter Online offers gamers even more options.

Dungeon Fighter Online is a free to play action online multiplayer game that will take you down memory lane. The game harkens back to the days of Streets of Rage, Final Fight, and Double Dragon. Mix arcade action with MMO sensibilities and get contemporary gaming nirvana. In an effort to bring you coverage of the game I’ve been sacrificing my spare time to play this game, because I care about your fun, dammit.

The beta test for the game has shown that the game can handle tons of traffic. If there was any complaint it would be that there isn’t enough room for the sprites to fit comfortably but I don’t see how this can be helped. Another thing that will soon change is the fact that everyone looks pretty much the same outside of the five different character classes. It’s a little comical to walk into a stage where there are 20 Priests standing around looking surly. But like I said, Nexon is all over this issue as well.

Coming your way in just about a week (October 8) will be The Item Shop, where Dungeon Fighters will be able to purchase a great many things. Chief among these things are potions that will boost health and stats, safe upgrades with increased storage capacity and no weight limit. Players will also finally be able to replenish their stock of life tokens (think extra men) that bring your Dungeon Fighter back to life should he or she fall in battle.

The biggest announcement is, however, the introduction of Avatar items! That means that players will finally be able to customize their characters and look unique. That was all the game was really missing and it was only a matter of time before Nexon delivered. Now if only I could get my controller to work…

It’s important to point out that players participating in this beta test will retain their accessories and levels when the game launches in earnest. For those of you looking to score some Nexon cash, the prices are as follows: $10 get’s you 10,000 Nexon Cash. You can purchase Nexon Cash cards at places like 7-11. For more retailers check out Nexon.net and click the Nexon Cash button on their homepage.
