Every week the Rock Band Music Store gets updated with new tracks available for players to purchase and thrash to. The store, zeroing in on 1,000 tracks, is the end-all-be-all location for everything you will need to keep the Rock Band disc spinning inside your console and it's going to be our job on a weekly basis to give you a heads up on what to expect the following week when the Rock Band Music Store updates (Tuesday for Xbox 360 and Wii, Thursday for PS3).
Seperate they are "Tenac" and "Ious D," but as one they form the greatest rock duo the universe has ever known--Tenacious D. And come next week we will see two new Tenacious D songs join "Master Exploder" on the Rock Band 2 setlist, "Tribute" and "Rock Your Socks." Both tracks were featured on Tenacious D's hit debut album, with "Tribute" being the band's first single, and the song's music video the first appearance of Dave Grohl in a devil costume, cloven hooves and all.
Then there is "Rock Your Socks," awesome D song no doubt, but even for Rock Band might be a little raw when you consider how much of a family game Rock Band can be. But the song has already been featured in Rock Band Unplugged on the PSP and that version didn't censor the "Cleveland Steamer" line, so odds are neither will this one, which should lead to some awesomely awkward moments in the family room when the kids load up "Rock Your Socks" and start singing about their "magical sauce" and taking dumps on each other's chests.
But two Tenacious D songs aren't the only tracks hitting Rock Band this coming week, as a 3-song track pack of Anvil will see release, featuring, "666," "Metal on Metal," and "This is Thirteen," as well as two songs from The Guess Who and two from Dinosaur Jr.
