Timbaland discusses Beaterator

Timbaland has teamed up with Rockstar Games for the release of the music making game, Beaterator.

While many casual gamers find themselves jamming out to Guitar Hero or Rock Band, Rockstar Games is looking to fill the absence of music making applications within the portable gaming market. Hence, Rockstar has teamed up with notorious, contemporary music producer, Timbaland, to release Beaterator for the Sony PSP / PlayStation Network, with hopes of porting the game to the iPhone and IPod Touch this Fall.

Beaterator allows the user to create a wide-range of musical compositions, with samples provided by Timbaland himself for a completely polished, high-fidelity sound. MTV attempted to create such a game with their series of Music Generator games for the original PS and Xbox, but now Rockstar Games is picking up where MTV left off to offer a portable solution wherever inspiration might strike.

Below is a video clip with Timbaland himself, discussing the collaboration with Rockstar Games.
