We've gotten our hands on a bunch of new media for DJ Hero, the game perfect for those whose dreams of being a popular DJ were dashed a long time ago because they aren't trendy enough and can't properly yell "REMIXXX" over top the beginning of a track. But I say this because I envy it. I wish I could bust some beats like these gentlemen so DJ Hero is as close as I'll ever come.
First up is DJ AM with a pretty sweet mash-up of Bel Biv Devoe's "Poison" and Beastie Boys "Intergalactic," two songs that I would never imagine being mentioned in the same sentence are here together, as one, and it's pretty awesome.
Next up is DJ Z-Trip with a blending of Public Enemy ft. Zakk Wylde's “Bring the Noize 20xx” and Justice's “Genesis.” This clip shows off a lot more of the sweet scratching action of DJ Hero as well.
And finally, we have DJ Shadow combining Boogie Down Productions' “Jack of Spades” and David Bowie's "Let’s Dance."
DJ Hero is definitely shaping up to be a fun title, something great for a party, and an original entry into the music game genre that has been overflown with guitars and plastic drum kits.It definitely has some style, something essential for a game based around DJing.
