This past friday, during the Star Wars panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, Lucasarts announced that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed would be seeing yet another DLC pack, as well as a new retail version of the title called "The Ultimate Sith Edition."

Firstly, the downloadable content for The Force Unleashed will be hitting Xbox Live and the Playstation Network this coming fall and will be the first chapter in the "Infinities" storyline--completely reimagining the Star Wars universe post the story of The Force Unleashed. The content will pick up as if you chose to kill Darth Vader at the game's conclusion and became the Emperor's new Sith apprentice. You will then be sent on a mission to Tatooine to off Obi-Wan Kenobi who has been in hiding since the conclusion of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Players will also venture to Jabba's Palace on their quest for blood, pitting them against  the most famous bounty hunter in the galaxy, Boba Fett.

Now as for the "Ultimate Sith Edition" of The Force Unleashed releasing this holiday--gamers will get the original The Force Unleashed title, the two previously released DLC packs with missions set on Coruscant and Tatooine (detailed above), as well as an all-new, exclusive second chapter in the "Infinities" storyline where the secret apprentice is sent to Hoth to confront Luke Skywalker and crush what remains of the rebellion once and for all.

Overall, this new DLC sounds pretty interesting. While it won't be considered canon, especially if you're killing off Obi-Wan and Luke from the sound of things, it should still be a great reason to play The Force Unleashed again. As well as get a nice "What If" type storyline out of it. Kind of reminds me of the Star Wars Infinites comic books that released a number of years ago that reimagined the original trilogy with some cool twists and turns. No doubt being the inspiration for these new DLC packs for The Force Unleashed.
