Pro Vs. GI Joe is a nonprofit organization tasked with providing US troops with the opportunity to compete in gaming tournaments worldwide, against professional athletes, in cooperation with the USO. This July 4th, Pro Vs GI Joe has partnered with GGL Global Gaming, one of the largest online gaming communities in the world, to host an exclusive, military-only program known as MOG (Military Only Gaming).

The first official event to kick off the new program will be a five-week Call of Duty: World at War tournament. The ten best performers in the tournament will be flown to Atlanta to compete against the Atlanta Falcons in a live event, unless they’re stationed overseas in which case they’re shit out of luck (but can still compete remotely!).
No small effort is being put into this project on the part of the tournament hosts, who are able to provide a connection for military gaming enthusiasts, even in the middle of a combat zone. Imagine playing Call of Duty during an actual firefight! How meta is that?!
Servicemen and ladies are instructed to go to mog.ggl.com to sign up for the COD:WAW tournament right now, and keep posted for new events coming up soon!
