The line to get into the Konami conference was a madhouse with every journalist attempting to squeeze in to hopefully get a glimpse of Hideo Kojima and any info Konami might have about the new Metal Gear titles that were announced in the last two days. And wouldn't you know it, the first guest on stage was Mr. Kojima himself who revealed that Kojima Productions is hard at work on not only two games, but four! What happened next was a guantlet of footage and discussion about these four Kojima projects that melted every face in the conference hall.

Metal Gear Solid Arcade

MGS Arcade was the first title Hideo Kojima revealed at the Konami conference. The game is basically Metal Gear Solid Online turned into a coin-op game for arcades. Arcades would have multiple arcade cabinets attached together that would use goggles and a 3D view to make the quinessential Metal Gear arcade experience.

Metal Gear Solid Arcade is set for release in Japan in 2009 but the goal is to launch the title worldwide at some point. However, we can't be anything but sceptical because we all know actual arcades are a dying bleed. But if there was any franchise that could revive them here in America, Metal Gear would be it.

More on MGS: Peace Walker

Peace Walker is a title that was already announced during the Sony conference at this year's E3. However, the Konami conference did offer up a few more detailsabout the title. Namely, Peace Walker is Hideo Kojima's baby and the spiritual "Metal Gear Solid 5." This makes sense as Peace Walker is the title Kojima is directly involved with as both the producer and writer of the title.

Metal Gear Solid: Rising headed to PS3 and PC!

Next up was Metal Gear Solid: Rising which Kojima introduced with the same trailer of stormy clouds and art of Raiden that we had seen at Microsoft's conference. However, this time the trailer ended with not only the logo of Xbox 360, but also with the PS3 emblem and PC. Shortly thereafter Kojima confirmed the existence of the title for PS3, PC, and Xbox 360. Must rejoicing commenced. It seems Kojima hasn't forgotten about the Playstation faithful who bought his games and made him the superstar he is today, and for it, he rewards us. We should have never doubted the man.

Also, MGS: Rising will be developed at Kojima Productions but not by Kojima. Instead, the youngbloods of the company will handle all the heavy lifting of the development on Rising. But don't fear, Kojima joked that he has already given his fair share of input to make sure the title is steered in the right direction.

Now click to the next page for the final bombshell Kojima dropped on the conference...
