The first conference of Tuesday began at 9 AM PST with Nintendo taking the stage. The conference started with a discussion about how everyone these days are playing games and that's been Nintendo's mission for a long time running. And Nintendo definitely started the show off with a bang:

New Super Mario Bros. Wii
A brand new Super Mario Bors. game was announced. The game is a 2-D platformer just like New Super Mario Bors. was for the Nintendo DS. The big exception here is that New Super Mario Bros. Wii is made for 4 players to pick up a Wii-mote and play. The demo shown featured four players, one playing as Mario, one as Luigi, one as a blue Toadstool, and one as a yellow Toad. Also featured was that item boxes drop four items, one for each player so no one is left out in the cold. And finally, the new propellor suit looks freakin' cool. It allows players to propel into the air to snag those hard to reach coins.
The game is set for release Holiday 2009.
Wii Fit Plus
But then the conference hit a low note when an image of the Wii Balance Board flashed up on the screen. Wii Fit Plus was then announced which allows for a much more personal experience with Wii Fit. Allowing gamers to have their own personal trainers. Woo!
