What does Electronic Arts have in store for us?

Hot off the heels of Microsoft's Conference comes EA's big show. Now while Microsoft tore the roof down with the announcement of Metal Gear Solid: Rising, and creeped everyone out with "Project Natal," EA started out with a show that catered to a 12-year old girl but slowly amped things up and closed out their conference with a great future line-up for hardcore gamers. Here are some of the highlights:

This Ain't Your Grand-Pappy's Inferno

That's for god damn sure. The initial trailer EA showcased was for their upcoming Dante's Inferno and it looks really badass. Basically a take on the God of War franchise, Dante's Inferno is the classic story with a whole lot of edge throw in for good measure. I mean that must be the case when your tagline is, "Go to Hell." The trailer showed Dante fighting a giant beasty woman on his way up a mountain to reach Beatrice. However, he gets to the top to find her with another man. A ghoul man at that. Twisted!

 Sims 3 Trailer

Next was a trailer for Sims 3. Nothing new here, but the Sims are super popular, so it's understandable the game would be shown at this event.

Littliest Pet Shop Invades the Wii and DS

This is the moment the show becomes all about the 12-year old girl in us all. Announced was Littliest Pet Shop for the Nintendo Wii and DS, as well as Littliest Pet Shop Online, where you and all your girl friends can go online and create your own pets, customize them, and take them on adventures! As the rep says, "This game is every girl's dream come true." It's also the moment a bit of our souls died. But just wait....
