Crave Online's weekly gaming news returns in glorious high-definition! The goal of this feature is to update gamers on a weekly basis with the news that's important, none of the fluff. Every week there is a multitude of gaming news that hits the net. Most of it sucks ass. Who really reads gaming news to find out when the new Barbie game is getting downloadable content? I sure as hell don't, and I'm guessing you don't either. Therefore it's the job of this column to round up the best, most awesome news in the gaming industry, the stuff that makes us excited to be gamers, and condense it into one eatable, bite-size tablet of awesome. So open wide, this pill gets inserted straight up the back-end..
This past week was a rather slow one in the video game industry. No huge announcements, as we're so close to E3 that you can practically smell the congregation of nerds assembling outside the L.A. Convention Center. So this week we have what's essentially a media blowout for our Next Gen News column. So sit back, grab some candy (or a hooker), and enjoy the videos.
First Footage of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Now this is what I'm talking about. Now while this trailer is only a whopping 15 seconds it does show off some really cool ideas making their way into Modern Warfare 2. One, snow. Love a good snow. Two, which spins off the idea of snow--snowmobiles. Being able to shoot terrorists off snowmobiles has always been a dream of mine and I'm glad I get to do it in a game like Call of Duty. And three--scuba diving. That's the trifecta of "s" words and a great primer for the official trailer hitting TNT on May 24th during the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Till then, check out the primer below.
Prepare to be Judged!
Have you been waiting for some cool new downloadable content for Little Big Planet? Well Media Molecule will be answering your prayers on the 28th of May. It looks like the good ol' Jedge Dredd is going to be supplying some new skins and stickers for our little sackboy. Here is the poster plastered over Media Molecule's website. This should be hilarious.

Footage of the Prince of Persia film
While this isn't necessarily a video game in action, it does pertain as it's for Jerry Bruckheimer's Prince of Persia production, starring Jake Gyllenhaal. I'm still not completely sold on Gyllenhaal playing the Prince. Mostly because, well...he isn't Persian. But this is Hollywood getting their talons in a franchise. So, of course they are going to go for A-list talent and big names. Not much we can really do at this point. But I'll at least say the period, and settings shown in this footage look spot on.
