While PS3 hasn’t really done the best in the competition of next generation console sales, but with the re-release of their 80 GB console, the winning of the HD format war going to blu ray, and finally their heavy hitter Metal Gear Solid coming out with its Fourth installment, things are finally looking up for Sony. Now while those who already own a PS3 can’t wait to get their hands on a copy of Metal Gear Solid 4, those who don’t have a PS3 however can now get their hands on the newest bundle of video game joy.
Since Halo 3 got their own Xbox it only makes sense that Metal Gear would get its own PS3 so for a limited time and only from Konami.com fans can get their hands on a Gun Metal Grey 40gb PS3, with matching controller and of course your very own copy of the Special Edition Metal Gear Sold 4. All this will be sold for the slightly shocking price of $599.99. Now while the hardcore fans will be more than happy to get this PS3, the only reason I say shocking is because it’s the price of the 80gb PS3 as well, making more rounded gamers a reason to lean that way.
Konami isn't just going all out for their favorite son with a new system though, they are also rolling out the internet web carpet early with the online widget as well for facebook, or MySpace, you can now download the free widget that comes with a countdown to the games release, as well as any new news, videos, and a whole slew of other cool stuff. Of course like I said you can order the PS3 at Konami.com, but that’s where you can get the cool widget as well. With all of this, I can’t help but think of Halo 3 last year, and can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of this awesome game as well.
