How many hours do you spend in front of the tube plating Gears of War for the X-Box 360? Is your skin all pasty? Have you been out of contact with friends and family since you got the game? Do you play the game so much that you just walk around wearing the X-Box Live headset everywhere you go? Well, we here at CraveOnline have more bad news for you, Gears of War will be adding new playable maps as well as achievements for the ‘annex’ game play style.

For 800 X-Box Live points, a four map package titled ‘Hidden Fronts’ can be downloaded for online play. For most players this is a must, considering the alternative is either hosting one’s own match or always being in danger of being booted off of a match because the host has downloaded content. With the new achievements added to the ‘annex’ game it is possible to accrue 250 points, to add even more to the downloads value. As an added bonus, Epic Games has managed to fix the ‘roadie run’ feature so that players have an easier time maneuvering while dodging gunfire, grenades, and the usual body parts of your eradicated brethren.

If you don’t feel like paying for the points, then wait until early September for the chance to download the maps for free. But, by then other gamers will know those stages like the backs of their hands and use that knowledge to destroy you. So, it’s really up to you, happy hunting!
