Warner Bros. is set to release a compilation of the original three Mortal Kombat titles on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this summer. The Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection (hard emphasis on the “K” there) will include Mortal Kombat 1, 2 and Ultimate Edition 3. The title will be downloadable for 800 MS Points, or $9.99 on PSN later this summer.

“We are very excited to finally have the first three Mortal Kombat games available in one download package for long-time and new fans to play,” said Ed Boon, Creative Director, NetherRealm Studios.

“With the release of our 2011 Mortal Kombat, and its return to 2D gameplay, players have been asking for these classic titles and we are happy to deliver them.”

Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection is being developed by Other Ocean, in conjunction with NetherRealm Studios. In the past, Other Ocean worked on the Xbox Live transfer of the PlayStation classic Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, as well as the Nintendo DS port of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. With that kind of track record, odds are pretty favorable that they’ll do these three titles justice on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
