Erik and I were invited to Sony Ericsson's Xperia Play E3 party during the early portion of the week of the convention. The invitation, curiously enough, was decked out in Minecraft goodness. Mojang, the company behind this wonderfully designed indy project, then announced that they were working on the first mobile version of Minecraft for the Xperia Play.
Sony's Android device is getting it first, then more will follow. The team is also working on Minecraft Pocket, as it's been referenced by Mojang before, for the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad platforms.
They're taking crack and making it more portable. God help us all. Let's hope no one tells commercial airline pilots.
