Twisted Pixel and Microsoft have decided to price the sequel to the bombastic 'Splosion Man, Ms. 'Splosion Man, at the fantastic 800 Point mark. $10. The original game launched at the same price point two years ago.
That says a lot about the value of this sequel and the cost of downloadable titles in general. The $10 cost is one that has all but vanished from both the Xbox LIVE Arcade marketplace and the PlayStation Store. Two years ago, an 800 Point game might not have seemed all that cheap. Today, however, in the land of $15 map packs and $5 costume suites makes 800 Points seem damn cheap.
The news came via press release, and it was there that Twisted Pixel glossed over what makes Ms. 'Splosion Man so strong.
Ms. Splosion Man features bigger levels, pumped-up bosses, overhauled networking, ghost replays, and countless other improvements in a fifty-level single player campaign and separate fifty-level multiplayer campaign. Pick up Ms. Splosion Man for 800 Microsoft Points on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace July 13th here.
We'll likely have our review of the game up around the day of release next week.
