The Humble Indie Bundle group has managed to raise more than $1,000,000 for charity. That's crazy, especially considering they've been operating under a pay-what-you-want, donate-what-you-want mantra since the inception (INCEPTION!) of this idea. That's more than a million bucks between two sales…two, as in roughly $500k earned each time from a pack of multi-platform, independently developed games.
We love touting the glory that is indie, so taking time to make sure you readers know about the pack, what it includes and how epic the deal is.
Five games make up this bundle: Crayon Physics Deluxe, Hammerfight, Cogs, And Yet It Moves and VVVVVV. Through the bundle, players will get a DRM free copy of each game to play on either Windows, Mac or Linux machines. That's right, once you own the games, you'll be able to install unlimited copies.
You'll be able to distribute whatever you choose to pay as you wish between the game developers, the Humble Indie Bundle group, Child's Play or the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
Here's a trailer for a brief look at each game, silly voiceovers and directions on how to buy and donate.
