The first DLC pack for Uncharted 3 includes four “remixed” maps that you may remember from Uncharted 2. You’ll be getting the “Cave,” “Fort,” “Lost City” and “Santuary” maps in this pack, all remastered with new dynamic lighting effects, new particle effects and additional technical wizardry applied to each to make them shine brighter than ever before.
If you bought into the Uncharted 3 “Fortune Hunters’ Club,” then the DLC will not cost you another penny to snatch up. If you aren’t a Club member, then you can easily become one on the PS Store for the price of $24.99. That might seem high for DLC, but consider that that set price locks you in for all future Uncharted 3 DLC, of which Naughty Dog plans 14 total content drops throughout the coming year. As a Club member you’ll save over 60% what you would have spent buying each DLC pack individually. So if you’re a diehard Uncharted fan, becoming a Fortune Hunters’ Club member is a pretty sweet deal.
Finally, Naughty Dog teased more DLC on the horizon. In the coming months, you can expect multiple character skin packs and something else that seems a little more substantial, which Sony teases on their blog.
