We received a short blast email this afternoon detailing a bit about the upcoming PS Vita version of Call of Duty, first revealed during Sony’s E3 press conference.
Instead of the game being a carbon copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, the Vita version of Black Ops, called Black Ops: Declassified, will be a series of “Spec Ops” missions that weave in and out of the Black Ops II narrative, adding more context to Treyarch’s bleak futuristic world.
The game is being developed with on-the-go gamers in mind. Therefore, expect shorter levels that can be experienced in quick bursts while traveling. The game will also come with a multiplayer component, although Activision isn’t declassifying that information just yet.
Finally, here is the cover art for Call of Duty: Black Ops II: Declassified. Enjoy.
