Remaining THQ Franchises Up For Auction This April

Series like Darksiders, Red Faction and more will be going up for sale soon.

The dust is still settling in the ongoing THQ bankruptcy case. Following the fire sale of the majority of the company’s franchises to the likes of Take-Two Interactive, Ubisoft, Crytek and Sega, there are still a few question marks that remain. Like, who is going to nab the Darksiders series, or Red Faction for that matter?

Today, those finer details were made a little bit clearer. THQ’s creditors will host another auction for their remaining franchises on April 1st and conclude it on April 15th. Once all the bids are in, THQ will take a priority and back-up bid for each property to the courts for final approval. This whole process should be completed by May.

THQ is offering their remaining franchises in bundle packages. For instance, bidders can pick up the full Red Faction franchise as a single entity. The same applies to Darksiders, as well as the MX and Homeworld series. The remaining franchises – stuff like Costume Quest, Destroy All Humans!, de Blob and Worms – will be auctioned off in assorted “lots,” which you can see below.
