One of the strangest announcements to be made before E3 was that Warner Brothers and NetherRealm Studios were working on a new fighting game based around the DC Universe. Injustice: Gods Among Us is a 2D fighting game created by the same folks that brought us last year's amazing Mortal Kombat reboot. The game will boast a large roster of DC Comics favorites, as well as a few obscure characters (here's hoping we get Animal Man!), all wrapped up in the over-the-top shell of a NetherRealm Studios fighting game.
During our tour of the Warner Brother booth at E3, we chatted with NetherRealm's John Edwards, who serves as the lead designer on Injustice: Gods Among Us. In the below video, Edwards talks about bringing a more cinematic feel to Injustice, how interactivity with the environment is crucial to their game design, and what winks and nods DC fanatics can expect from the minds behind Mortal Kombat.
