September Gaming Guide

Back to school is synonymous with big game releases.

The smell of school is in the air causing unanimous groans and moans. However, there is a silver lining to it all. September is a major month for game releases. So if your a gamer, pocket some of the cash that otherwise would have went towards a lame text book, one you probably would have opened only once, and use it on some of the biggest game releases of the year.

batman_boxBatman: The Brave & the Bold
System: Nintendo Wii, DS
Release: 9/7/2010

Based on the TV hit series, Batman: The Brave & The Bold takes the classic beat ‘em up formula and mixes it with cartoony Batman and all his friends (including Aquaman!). We’re all for the zany, goofy Adam West rendition of Batman that this show utilizes and we think the old school brawler game style is perfectly fitting for the WHAM, ZAM, POW of Batman: The Brave & The Bold. If you like Batman, classic gaming and own a Wii, pick up this game.

spider-man_boxSpider-Man: Shattered Dimensions
System: PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS
Release: 9/7/2010

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is quite the bold step for Activision. For years we’ve played essentially the same Spidey game with interchangeable skins. Shattered Dimensions looks to change the formula by not only including the classic “Amazing” and “Ultimate” versions of ol’ web-head, but also the new “Noir” and “2099” setting. This is one Spider-Man game with four completely different play-styles. This does have the potential to be a train-wreck, but we’ve become optimistic lately. Therefore, we’re expecting Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions to be a return to greatest for Spider-Man video games.
