One of my favorite online games is Combat Arms, a free to play online FPS that allows you to log on and get right to the fragging. The game features a lot of cool customizations and gameplay types, from the classic elimination to the cooperative fireteam mode the game has it all with great graphics and challenging missions to boot.
Now the fun factor is being pushed to 11 with the introduction of the Specialist combat class. Here is the official line from Nexon the makers of Combat Arms:
Carefully selected and raised from birth to be the ultimate combination of strength, stealth, brilliance and skill, Specialists are the product of a secretly sanctioned project by the highest level members of the UAF. Two of these Specialists quickly established themselves as clear leaders of the group. Scorpion, named for his ability to survive in any situation, and Viper, named for her quick and fatal attacks. Here is more information on the four special items available to this new faction of mercenaries in Combat Arms.
Not only will they be available for play soon but they come with new weapons and features:
Claymore:
A defensive, anti-personnel land mine utilizing a wireless detonator, the Claymore projects tiny steel fragments in a fan-shaped pattern, devastating enemies with its terrific explosive power.
Satellite Scanner:
A military grade, portable scanner reveals the locations of hidden enemies. Scanned data is transmitted to teammates via satellite, giving fellow soldiers an edge over the enemy!
Medkit:
A military syringe developed by NEMEXIS that is injected directly into the bloodstream. The Medkit restores a set amount of HP. Because of its portability, it can come in handy in the middle of combat situations when it is impossible to call on a medic. The Medkit can only be used for recovering one's own HP.
M32:
A 40mm semi-automatic, six-barreled weapon with a revolving magazine, this rapid-fire grenade launcher gives increased firepower to foot soldiers.
The game is already a blast to play, now it’s even more fun. Remember its free to play, so head over to www.nexon.net in order to check out Combat Arms and some of their other great games.
