Crave Online's exclusive look at Comic-Con 2008 Video Games
Comic-Con 2008 came to an end on Sunday and with the event holding roughly 125,000 people there was plenty to see and take in. If you were one of those people there then you probably got lost on the sales floor at least once, but hopefully in that time you got to see all of the amazing things that were on that floor. However if you didn’t, or if you weren’t at Comic-Con then Craveonline’s got your back and these are some of the coolest Video Games we saw this year on the sales floor.

DC Universe Online is a MMORPG that will be one to look for over during its development, and it was also a Comic-Con exclusive first look. The game will be a lot like City of heroes but instead of creating a hero of your own you can pick from absolutely any hero in the DC Universe and parade in a huge universe online with players from all over the world as you battle villains from all over the world as well. At the booth you got to play several different demos involving different powers like speed, flight, strength and more. One of the developers made a comment about the comparison between this and City of Heroes; “While the overall feel of the game play will be that of City of Heroes the one major difference will be the fighting style. The fighting style will be completely based off of a player’s skill and nothing to do with the character they choose. This will allow players to grow more themselves as opposed to looking at a role of the dice.” The demo is brand new and not even in its alpha stage yet but it already looks good. Make sure to watch more on this as it develops.

Activision was also on the sceneand they brought more goodies than one could ask for as they showcased two major titles; Spider-Man: Web of Shadows as well as Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion. While neither had playable demos they both released full official trailers for the first time, as well as holding voice auditions for the voice actors of henchmen for MUA 2. Activision also spared no expense as they handed out all sorts of goodies like T-Shirts, dog tags, and even free video games. Of course steering away from the comic book side they did give fans one demo to play and it could have been one of the busiest demos set up as they showcased The Ghostbusters Video Game. The game looks incredible yet it seemed like most people found the game pretty hard as most players seemed to flail about with no real direction. However next month will tell us if the game is going to be amazing or not.

The final game we took a quick look at was Lego Batman which had stations all over the place with demos set up, I mean this game was at DC, it was at LEGO, it was at Warner Bros and it was in the video game section for random stuff. While this may have seemed a bit excessive the truth was it turned out to be a really good marketing scheme as every time you played the demo at a different station you got a different LEGO piece. If you collected all of them you could turn them in for various prizes and gifts. While LEGO Indiana Jones wasn’t nearly as well received as LEGO Star Wars this game seemed to have a lot of hype around it at Comic-Con and those who tried the demo, including myself, really enjoyed it.

Those are all the rad video games, make sure to stick around tomorrow when we talk about the different movie booths.
