When Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 ships this November it will come packed with a new mode under the “Spec Ops” banner. This new mode, called “Survival,” is essentially Call of Duty’s take on Gears of War’s Horde Mode -- it’s you and your buddies taking on wave after wave of progressively tougher enemies, trying to survive (as the name implies) and rack up as many points as possible.
The new Modern Warfare 3 trailer we were sent today from Activision highlights this new mode and shows off some of its coolest features -- specifically dogs strapped with explosives. It appears as though Survival mode will also have some tower defense elements, allowing you to fortify your stronghold to keep your enemies at bay.
